Description:
5th grade Rock Ridge youth volleyball is designed to give young athletes the opportunity to explore the sport of volleyball and decide if it is something that they enjoy. The focus is on basic skills and basic game play but they are moving in the direction of more competitive play and game strategy. In the case that there are enough participants to form multiple teams teams will be divided up equally. The practice will be held after school and evenings with times being determined by the coaches and what best works for them. There will be on average 2 practices a week. There will also be 3-5 play dates/tournaments that they will participate in these are typically on weekends. Rock Ridge will host a play date in October and parents are expected to help run that play date by helping keep score, line judge, work concessions or some other form of help as needed.
